You may share in the new project I will be helping to begin with Iris Cambodia in September. Valentine’s Day in Phnom Penh, Cambodia I’m back! I got back from Phnom Penh a week ago Sunday. It was a unique trip spent seeing, listening, learning, connecting with Cambodia, Khmer people, Iris Cambodia team, and Vision. My heart has been enlarged and broken and ignited for Cambodia. It amazes me how my small little gift of Art and Jewelry design is invited to join a much bigger picture of helping women escape the sex trafficking bondage by creating a loving, healing, safe place to come and create sustainable income! While visiting all the different facets of Iris Cambodia’s work and ministry, I got to paint and play with the precious children of the railway slum, make polymer clay hearts with some of the Mums, and to go into the Bar/Brothels to just sit, talk, and love on the girls/women there. I gave them polymer clay heart pins with “loved” stamped on the back. We created quite a “love stir” as one after another came over to see the hearts and to receive theirs. One of the women told me her story of how when her husband left her with her 1 year old son, she came to the city in desperation to get a job so she could care for him….. When she asked me when I would come back, I said I would but it would be awhile. She said, “I will not take off this heart pin until you come back.” I wept. May she be one of...
My time spent in Fiji for the Lifestyle Freedom Conference with Donna Partow & Tamera Aragon was amazing!! They shared their wisdom, their heart, practical and spiritual. I am so excited to see the fruit of what they invested into each one of us women as we go forward into the things that God has called us to!! Donna has some amazing webinars and workshops and books! Many of these are FREE! Others are well worth the money spent to receive from her experience and wisdom! “7 BIBLICAL SECRETS FOR WEIGHT LOSS FROM THE INSIDE-OUT” DISCOVER GOD’S SOLUTION & FINALLY GET HEALTHY IN SPIRIT, SOUL & BODY Are You Ready to get Unstuck?! Beyond Breakthrough I also had the wonderful opportunity to connect with some ladies from the village who love to make jewelry. I loved sharing with them and dreaming that it might be possible to return sometime to work together with them! Here are some videos of Leba who is a generational herbalist of Fiji. She is an amazing woman. I was fascinated with the pure Noni Juice that she makes and the virgin coconut oil by fermentation, not heat. She has a miracle story of getting sick and becoming paralyzed and then healed after a regimen of Noni Juice and massages with pure coconut oil as she was sent home with nothing for the doctors to do for her! I have come home recharged, blessed and with some specific steps to take to see my vision for My Art + Mission vision come to fruition!! I want YOU to be encouraged as well to pursue your...

I am way overdue for a post concerning my 3 week trip to Les Cayes, Haiti in June! Part of my slowness was due to being just absolutely overwhelmed with all that happened, and the other part was the birth of my #6 granddaughter, my mother-in-law breaking her hip, and birth of #7 granddaughter! I don’t even know how to express it all, so just briefly: I made such wonderful connections with such wonderful people! Catherine who has the ministry with the Village Children Feeding Program and the Enrichment Program for the Street Boys. Alan who is so generous to provide a place for Catherine to stay and to have her ministry Megan with a Safe House Ministry Patrico who ministers to the Street Boys and has started a program to help the women of the village to have sustainable income, which is my heart too! Pierre who is leading youth to pursue business and entrepreneurship Levis, Alan’s manager of the gym, shopper, motorcyclist, and friend So many others who were so helpful and generous and hospitable I ran with the “Trash to Treasure” idea that I believe that God gave me and crammed as much teaching and art in as possible. The street boys were so amazing, so precious, and so quick to learn!! We learned how to make rope from plastic bottles and how to crochet with old clothes, t-shirts, and dyed string to make rugs/mats and bags/totes. We also had a mixed-media paint and collage experience under a tree on the sand. They got to experience mixing colors and just enjoying the play of...

I’m not going to lie, I was more than a little nervous about doing anything “artsy”. I should not have worried, it was just pure fun. Jane led us through how to relax and enjoy the experience. We had time to pray and spend time listening for God and then we were able to include that into our artwork. I hung mine in my kitchen to remind me of the wonderful time. There are no mistakes and everyone’s end result was surprisingly good!Suzann
Play & Pray Retreat 2015
The Play and Pray retreat was just what the “Great Physician” ordered. It’s been a while since I have been able to work with so many different mediums. The choices were almost overwhelming. Being creative is good medicine and I have always felt close to God when I get those creative juices flowing. All the components were there for a truly creative AND spiritual experience such as the privacy of a natural surrounding, a menagerie of art mediums and supplies , prayer, healthy food, and n…
